Alpana Gujral IIJW 2011

These past few days in Mumbai, Grand Hyatt was the host of the Indian International Jewelry Week (IIJW) and at the last minute, my friend had some extra passes. So I got the chance to watch one show only that is Alpana Gujral's 'Enchanted Garden' collection..

Alpana Gujaral said,
The Enchanted Garden is the collection of emerald and coral jewellery which reflects the timeless perfection and symmetry of the enchanted gardens of Mughal era with pieces that are self explanatory in design,
The collection has earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings made with traditional craft of minakari in gold, ruby and sapphire, Alpana has used tourmaline, aquamarine and other colourful stones in combination with pearls and diamonds to give her jewellery a very contemporary appearance with a glimpse of traditional designs.
She said,
Pearls are back in a big way along with yellow gold, my collection is replete with pearls because of their classy look and I don’t think that anything is out of fashion as long as one is comfortable wearing it

My verdict : The jewelry was lovely and exquisite, unfortunately I was sitting a little far behind so I did not waste time clicking pictures that would be almost invisible, so here are just a few pics of the many nice one, this show happened just last night, and these are the only ones I found so far, but I will update soon with better pics..

The show stopper for the collection was Feroze Gujral, and she looked regal and pretty.

However I disliked most of the outfits, they looked so 'ready-made' and like they were imported from Bangkok.
